City-dwelling Americans often have different priorities than their suburban or rural counterparts. But the burden they face from local and regional government is often severe — and comes at a cost. 

Our cities are magnets for employers and talented professionals, but too many established residents are cut off from those opportunities. Often, municipal policy seems to benefit everyone but local residents themselves — and that must change.

BCP wants to reinvigorate America’s largest cities from the bottom up. We empower residents to participate in the lives of their cities through fair and transparent government, and to advance policies guided by local needs rather than imperial ambitions. We seek safe, effective schools that work for children and their parents. And we believe residents themselves can — and should — lead this renewal.
