As the City Policy Coordinator for the Institute for Justice, Ava primarily works on the Cities Work initiative to promote economic mobility through licensing reform, and works on other municipal-level projects with the goal of protecting civil liberties of individuals and raising up the voices of those with lived experiences. In 2022, Ava graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in Plan II Honors and Canfield Business Honors before leaving her long-time home of Austin to join IJ at their HQ office in Arlington, VA.
