He is author of The Communications Golden Hour: The Essential Guide to Public Information When Every Minute Counts (Public Safety Press, 2nd edition, 2023.) Previously he was a reporter for USA Today and other national media outlets. He is admitted to practice law in Maryland but is on inactive status.
